Ghost Market Vendor Criteria
Ghost Market is curated. We are intentional about who and what we platform. These standards exist to protect the integrity of the market, the vendors who work hard to build original brands, and the community that shows up expecting something real.
If you apply, this is what we’re looking for.
-
Handmade and Vintage First: We want original work, thoughtful curation, and pieces with story.
Originality Matters: No reproduced merchandise using copyrighted content. If it does not fall clearly under fair use, it will not be accepted.
3D Printed Work: If you sell 3D printed items, they must be your original designs. Not files purchased or downloaded online. Not mass-circulated templates. Your work should be distinct, creative, and clearly yours.
No New Item Resale: No resale of new wholesale goods.
No MLM Companies: Multi-level marketing companies will not be accepted.
Local First: Local businesses are prioritized. In some cases, a Cleveland-area vendor may be selected over a traveling vendor in order to strengthen our local creative economy and community connections.
Food and Beverage: Vendors must carry all required licenses and permits. You are responsible for complying with local and state regulations.
Explicit Content: Explicit work is allowed. However, display expectations depend on the event environment. At family-friendly events, explicit material must be appropriately censored or displayed discreetly. At select events that match the tone, open display may be permitted.
-
Vendors may be required to carry event insurance depending on venue requirements. If insurance is required, vendors must provide proof prior to the event.
Ghost Market is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
-
Every vendor application is reviewed by the Ghost Market committee.
Acceptance is based on:
Quality of work
Originality
Cohesion with the event
Category balance
Community fit
Not every strong vendor is accepted to every event. Curation protects everyone involved.
Vendors who volunteer and actively support events may be prioritized when additional support is needed and may receive volunteer credits as outlined in the Volunteer Policy.
-
Booth sharing is welcome in certain circumstances, but not guaranteed. Approval depends on the event layout, vendor mix, and available space.
If you wish to share a booth:
Both vendors must apply within the same application.
Each vendor’s products and information must be clearly represented.
Ghost Market collects one vendor fee per shared booth.
Boothmates are responsible for dividing payment between themselves.
If a volunteer credit or missed event credit is used, both vendors will be informed.
We expect transparency and communication between booth partners.
-
We’re ghosts. We value transparency, originality, and community.
If you have questions, ask. If you are unsure whether your work fits, reach out. We would rather have a conversation than make assumptions.
